In early 1942 civilian cars production was cancelled and continued only since 1946.
Golden ages of Dodge were 1920's, in 1928 Dodge was bought by Chrysler. Look also at other civilian Chrysler products, such as Plymouth and De Soto, and you will mention similar features in contemporary models.
